It would be great if we could mix multiple IR files and pan them in a stereo filed rather than just mixing them to mono in serial or parallel.

This would open up even more tonal possibilities.
 
There's the small hiccup that the Axe-Fx II doesn't process stereo IRs, only mono. The stereo mode of the CAB block gets around this by running two CAB convolutions in parallel, using mono IRs, and letting the user pan them in the stereo field.
 
Dang! I did not realize the stereo image was done by convolution.

Oh well, so much for that thought.
 
The way the geniuses at FAS think, I am hopeful that they may be thinking along the same lines in the future.
