Cab IR mic angles and other mysteries

I'm happy with the IR library i'm using, and it's big enough - it's the Austin buddy's 700 pack for the II - but i'm not locating an axis/angle option which is fine, but as i recall there used to be a choice, or am i mistaken? Is there a most popular IR mic position?
