C#/C best Pitch block method

Hi, I know much has been written but I have a simple question - what is the best method to tune down using Pitch to go down 2-3 half steps for heavy rock (high gain) music? I am now using Virtual Capo as the first block in the chain with tracking around 8. Thought and suggestions welcome. Screen shot of a JCM patch with Virtual Capo settings. IMO it is OK, or even good, but not great. Any thoughts on improving welcome, thank you in advance.
