Buffer?

So, I've been a pedal kid for quite some time and have toured plenty with long cable runs. I recently picked up a FX8 MKII off of reverb and granted I'm not using long cable lengths in my current practice I was wondering if it's necessary to still use an IN/OUT buffer in between the guitar and output of the FX8? Thoughts?

I'm not totally sure what you mean (why are you connecting your guitar to the output of the FX8?). I'm going to assume that you are asking whether or not you would benefit from adding a buffer between the output of the FX8 and the input of your amp.

No, you don't need another buffer. Once the signal from your guitar is converted to a low impedance signal by the buffer on the guitar input of the FX8 you should be able to drive a lot of cable length with minimal signal degradation.

Thank you very much, and yes you are correct, I didn't properly ask the question right. Again, thank you for your reply!
