Pretty sure he used Vox amps, so I'd guess the Vox model with a slight drive in front, and a wah. On the studio version, sounds like an envelope filter of some kind and a flanger?
 
Dialled this in yesterday - use a VOX amp with a boost in front, and for the solo stick a filter in front with the envelope affecting the frequency. Instant I Want it All solo sound.

Care to share your preset.
I add a bit of chorus to "Brian May" tones, on a scene controller for mix level (rhythm less/lead a bit more)...helps to fill the space a bit.
However, I am always interested to hear how others achieve this tone...not only the lead sound, yet that's also very cool.
