I am trying to utilize the octave effect to sound like the initial lead on You give love a bad name, but can't get the sound I am looking for. Any presets out there someone will share?

Play this song live with my band and find a pitch shift/harmoniser set an octave high and an octave low (buried in the mix a bit) works well; especially with a little chorus to drag the sound into stereo.

Have just got my AX8 and will need to build a preset/scenes for this song so will share when I'm happy with it

thanks for the tip about the up and down octave! i just used the oct up parallel and sounds not good enough

Put the 'Pitch' block between the Amp and Cab block. Use a (hard panned) stereo Cab block if you are trying to do any panning effects in the 'Pitch' block. The intro sounds to me, like there is an octave up, and another even higher?

There are also octaves in the solo, but with a bit more of a lower octave. Use the 'Y' state of the 'Pitch' block, setup accordingly, for that scene.
