Just spent a couple of hours with it. I've never had a real Ecstacy, so I can't directly compare, but on its own the pedal is pretty awesome. The only downside is it seems pretty noisy at higher gain settings, but that's common with high gain pedals. I'm currently running it into Channel 1 of my Mesa Mark V. I guess it would sound about the same through any low gain amp. There's plenty of gain even at 12 o clock, tone is warm, clear and articulate. There are also all sorts of switches available (bass cut, pre-eq, tone stack center frequency). Very versatine pedal, and probably the best distortion pedal I currently own.
Oh, I guess there's another downside. I now want the Blue as well. At $300 a pop, these really add up, but what are you gonna do. Gotta support the ailing US economy.
