Best way to monitor Axe-Edit III

Currently I'm using one of my older MacBook Pro computers to do so, total over kill, and I'd like to sell it. 1. Is Axe-Edit III Mac only? 2. What is the cheapest yet still easy to use and view, laptop, to have dedicated to editing Axe-Edit III?

Axe Edit is available for both Mac OS X and Windows 7 through 10. Pretty much anything running any of those OS's with a USB port will run Axe Edit just fine.

You might want to consider Fracpad for a minimal setup that uses a tablet instead of a computer.

You could pick up a cheap Windows 10 tablet or laptop for just over a couple hundred bucks. Refurbished Microsoft Surfaces can be had pretty cheap and they run pretty well and have decent battery life.

It would be really cool if Axe Edit could be ported to run in an HTML 5 web browser. Then it could potentially run on anything. Tablets, phones, Mac, Windows, Linux, whatever.

If you already have an ipad, it saves you from buying and maintaining another piece of hardware. Plus no boot time etc etc.
