If I’m looking to expand the number of mic preamp inputs I have (say up to 30 of them), all routed into a DAW on my computer, what do you folks think is the best way to set it up?
I’m asking because there are lots of great audio interfaces out there with great build in preamps, but even with expandable ADAT ports the max number of preamps I see being available is 16.
Would using two interfaces each with 16 Ins work? It seems unnecessary. There must be a better way. I’ve done some reading about 500
Series systems, and Dante - stuff like that.
