Best compressor settings for country twang?

Country is totally unknown area for me, but I'd like to use that classic snappy tone in another context. Now I'm using pedal1 with 7,5ms attack and around 35ms release. What are your best settings, oh you mighty chicken pickers?
 
try a high ratio like 4:1 and get the threshold to compress it by 6 or 8 db.
give makeup gain till it has no difference between activate of bypass in volume.

Id suggest a 2step compression... The need to leave the attack open for the attack to pass through leaves you with uncontrolled transients... Compress then limit.

Also; turn look ahead off, set attack Slow, and a fast release.
