BBC show : The Joy of the Guitar Riff

Thanks for posting that. Nice little trip down memory lane! Were there omissions? Sure. But we'd be here all day talking about every monster riff that ever was. Awesome documentary nonetheless. :)

It was okay, but as usual with BBC music documentaries, it tailed off into farce territory. Clearly it was produced by the usual cronies that likely used to read the NME. The net result was, it was less about the guitar riff, and more about how jangly indie & alt-rock and grunge is (apparently) far 'cooler' and therefore better the stuff the majority of us actually like i.e. Rock and pop music. Also, there were one or two talking heads whose appearance were milked for all they were worth, due to lack of other more relevant footage.
