G'day All,

For AXE FX II (Mk2)
I thought I'd setup to capture some ultrares URs tonight so I used a flat power amp, and a bass speaker box that has served me well with a ported 2225 and an enclosed K110. Initially I used a Neumann M149, then a U87, but I screwed up the 149 captures DOH!.
So...
Here are the U87 ones. On the cap, cpne, and 1 foot back. I also captured the port close, and from one foot.
Hope you fine them useful. Oh theres also a preset to test.

In my usually-not-very-humble opinion, anybody who just happens to have a U87 laying around has a personal responsibility to shoot badass IR's with it.
Your efforts are much appreciated!
Downloading these immediately.

G'day LR
Thanks for that! IMHO the M149 is a much better mic and I was looking forward to hearing them. Oh well next time :)
I was using a crossover with this speakers and obviously the 2225 was 200hz and below, while the k110s took the rest. Well that was the real world....amps and things. I'm seriously hoping the axe fx will impress me for bass soon but it's not yet. Close.

What patches are you using them with? Would love to see them.

Thanks
Pauly

Status update: these sound really good.
Thanks again!

If you say the M149 sounds better, I'll trust your judgment and look forward to hearing it ;)

My patches were made on the fly, I usually keep them bonehead simple- just basic tweaking of the EQ knobs to get something that sounds good in the room.
I save the surgical EQ work, compression (if any) and distortion (if any) for the DAW, it just better suits my workflow to do it that way.
