Banjo simulator

I was wondering if anyone knew of a banjo simulator on the Axe-FX... Or if anyone had any ideas where I would begin to create one

Thank you

As a start have a look at several of the acoustic guitar simulation patches for ideas.

You will need to make an IR which matches your banjo to the specific guitar you’re going to use, and possibly use a capo. Then a PEQ to block out the upper and lower frequencies which you don’t want, and notch out anything offensive in the IR. Thirdly an MBC to combat the guitar‘s sustain.

I remember having a banjo sound on the axe 2. Would be nice to have it again…

I’d start with one of the acoustic presets. Maybe find a banjo IR. Or maybe see if tone match can help. Don’t forget that you’ve got a couple resonator blocks at your disposal.

Also, stick some foam under the strings by the bridge.
