Backtrack Question

Hi everyone.

I was wondering if I can just plug in my laptop (with backtrack) to the AX8 and run it to FOH for live gigs or do I need a mixer or audio interface setup for the laptop instead of through the AX8?

Assuming the usb works the same as the II, yes its as simple as that.
2 things to consider:
- In the II there is a level control for the usb level that needs to be maxed.
- Keep in mind that your tracks will compete with the guitar signal so when you raise the level of your tracks, you'll have less headroom for your guitar.

Best bet would be a to run your laptop into a DI box and send that to the FOH.
I imagine that running through your
Ax8 would be really messy and confusing for the FOH

The USB does not work the same as the II. The AX8 only has USB midi not audio. I agree with Kyle that you should just keep it separate from the AX8.
