Backing Track Resources

Hi Everyone.

I am a recording Noob with my Ultra and was wondering if the folks here have any tips, pearls, or resources for backing tracks.

I searched the forum, but didn't really find what I was looking for.

I have also been to many of the websites that have down-loadable mp3s and I use GuitarPro for midi tracks, but was wondering if there was anything else out there I was missing. This is for home use only - pro quality is not a requirement.

Just to reopen this thread, it seems to me that the rash of "Guitar Hero" type games shoud have awesome backing tracks since they would include the vocals. I guess it's illegal to get those tracks though. Anyone know?

I subscribe to Line 6 Guitar port and find it quite good. There's lots of backing tracks of good quality - and the software shows you the tab as you play. Quite good!

I recommend the stuff from www.licklibrary.com. They're not free but £2.50 per track is reasonable to me for real band backing and quality production.
