Threw this patch in my ultra.....bypassed the cab sims and took it to practice. Was really looking forward to some heavy riffing before the guys got there. No sound. WTF? Took it back home and put in the editor...checked all blocks for levels and/or controllers. All appears to be good. Still no sound. What am i not doing?? I floopin love the sound of this patch AA, just wish i could get it too work. Great job as always.

I'm using the gate block in the ultra. If you have a standard, you'll have to shunt the missing block.

Albert A - you are the Über-King. I checked your patch (the übermidchug, tried also the übermidchug4 but there's no sound even after dis- and reconnecting the lines, maybe cause I only have the standard model) - and it's killing!!!! :D :D

But the sound is so awesome, I also had the chance to see your advanced amp para's - so a really big THANK YOU! You should post it in the patches region

So, like I said, the übermidchug4 is not working yet, but I have began to write down your settings of v 4 and rebuilt the patch - cause I'm really excited of getting your latest version of the übermidchug patch.

Look inside the Cab Sim to see what the bypass setting is set to. This was my problem with Alberts patches. Sorry i can't be more detailed, but i'm on vacation at the moment and away from my precious.

also these patches really do Rock!!!!! Thanks Albert.

Hi,

nice try but the its way too loose - there are sounds coming out around the chords that shouldnt be. The uber has maximum tight tone when you mute it right and the mid range is a lot sweeter.

Note - I am not having a go at YOUR effort but rather at the model itself.

I will give it a try over the next week. The thing with a REAL Uberschall is that you dont scoop the mids. Keep them around 5 and the amp sounds fantastic.

Only just saw this. I am running 10.01 now and whilst it sounds great for most amps the Uber is still the red headed step child of the lot. Do not get me wrong I LOVE my axefx I just dont love this model. I do own the real amp and have opened it up for a quick look. It is most definitely one of the most complex amp intestines that I have ever seen and am not surprised it is so hard to nail down in modelling. I am convinced that if anyone CAN do it, then it will likely be Cliff and Fractal however do recognise how damn hard it must be.

The Uber is a high, high, high gain amp but still has massive complexity in the tone - even more so than say a SLO100 or whatever else. Drop a boost pedal in front (HBE UNO MOS for example) and you have a searing intensity that does not succumb to shrill tops or muddy lows. It is a mid range beast.

Having said all that if I want an UBER sound I will just mic up my actual amp. It would be nice to have something close in direct recording options though.

I think it would fit in the mix but haven't tried yet .. (and it shouldn't happen since I just unexpectedly found my grailtone with the vh4 - yay ! haha)
