Axe2 Preset building

Bravo for doing this Clarky! I just stumbled on this and read 4 pages so for. I will be reading more later. This thread enplanes so much. Wealth of knowledge..:)

control
the red cable connects the upper Axe-II to the MFC
the yellow is connected to the lower [reserve] Axe-II: in the event of a disaster, I just switch the cables over and jack the guitar into the reserve..
EXP's left to right: morph / wah / input volume
the pedals are deliberately staggered so that I do not accidentally trigger the wah

testing the EXP's [low volume, thumb on the jack, wiggling pedals]
although it looks like "errrrr what does this one do then".. lmao..
the guys with me a Chris [my tech on the left] and Kyle [crew on the right]

hang on just a minute… my tech should be doing this and I should be in the bar… DOOOHHH ! !

a lil' thing I forgot to mention..
the stage crew at the venue contained a few guitarists..
they were all over my rig taking pics front and rear..
they were saying stuff like "those Axe units are supposed to be awesome.. looking forward to hearing this" etc
so I started riffing, cut a few little solos, switched to clean etc for the sound guys to sort my levels etc..
the crew were like "jeez that thing sounds amazing"
then seeing the jaws drop when morphing was a picture [especially morphing from riff to the synth-like pad]
and I'm hearing "holy sht man… I just got to get me one of those…"

in my letter to Santa Crimbo I've asked for a Boss FV-500L

so I'll end up with 4 EXP's…
you know it makes sense….

another thing I forget to mention…
during sound check, the jump gate was blue as shown in the pics..
for the gig I switched it to red.. angry mode.. lol..

santa crimbo brung me another FV-500
I'm not so sure that having all 4 of them on the same side will be a particularly good idea…
I need to rethink this a bit
No, you need to try it. Let your feet do the thinking. :)

If the 4th pedal turns out to be a bad idea, I'll send you my address.

funny… lol..

you're right though.. it's about how it feels..
I've no idea why, but I seem to prefer wiggling XP's with my right foot and hitting XS's with my left

the new XP will be for 'misc FX' to fade in / out ad-hoc..
things like a chorus for a clean tone, a pitch-shifter for some whammy action, etc..

my spider senses tell me to have all 4 on the right foot
MFC / XP-morph / XP-wah / XP-misc / XP-input level [CC: 10]

I think I decided that I want all 4 in a row…
I need a long stereo patch cable..
the ones I use are 18".. just about long enough for 3 XP's but too short for the forth
I need a 2' patch cable..
time to go shopping

all sorted… managed to find a 2' stereo cable
4 XP's in a row on the right side:
MFC / XP-morph / XP-wah / XP-miscFX / XP-input level [CC: 10]

works a treat… loving it...
