Hi all, for the longest time I was using a Two Notes Torpedo CAB for tube power section sims, but recently have been able to improve the Ultra's power section sims to get them close by the following...
a) Running the Damp, Depth really hot (8+).
b) Selecting Active Presence
c) Typically lowering Sag a bit.
d) Warmth and sometimes Thump to suit.
e) Run the Amp Block Master hot, between 8.5 and 9.5 or so, and the Preamp Gain as low as possible to suit (i.e. make the virtual power section work like it does in real vintage style amps).
...and this for vintage gain amps when pushed into distortion, and creates "bloom" etc.
Try it out if desired, and post any thoughts.
