Axe+Roland TD20+Mackie 402=?

Our drummer has a Roland TD20 which the plays through a crappy "The Box"- monitor. I'm soon getting the Axe and was wondering, if for rehearsing together, I bought for example an FBT Maxx 4a and routed the Axe and the Roland through Mackie 402 mixer to the FBT. Will the Mackie work for this purpose? Already checked from Mackie's manual that this routing should be possible but I want to be sure so I'm asking you guys.
