I know there has been a thread about playing 2 guitars into AXEIII this but I'm wondering about a specific thing.
Ok, so from what I have understood, it is possible hook up 2 guitars and play live with it.
Cool. That's the least thing we would expect... But now comes the more advanced part
We have our current live rig so that our laptop sends midi messages to my Kemper and my bandmates Ax8, with each unit having two different "Global midi channels".
This works flawlessly to change our channels during solos, melody sections, turn off and on specific effects etc etc.
But if we wanted to downsize our rig even more by buying an Axe III together...
How would it work with different song parts, solo sections, effects on and off etc?
Can you set different midi channels for each input?
Or do we have to work out some kind of super advanced patch system where sometimes there's a patch with my solo and his rhythm guitar, and another patch just for a section where he plays a chorused melody section?
That would end up being A LOT of patches.
