The only thing I use axe-fx mode for is the tuner. The rest is not very useful the way I do things.
It would be nice to have the abilty to use the tuner even when I am not is axe-fx mode.
That way I can use the tuner on the mfc, name and recall the mfc patches (not use the axe-fx names) and have an easier time programming my patch w/out doing a bunch of patch mapping.
I point the several presets on the foot controller to one patch on the axe-fx. This way I can press one preset button and go from intro to verse to chorus, etc. w/ any drop our or worry about spillover on the axe-fx. One patch / song is what I go for on the axe-fx. I let the foot controller change the effects, but still have the option to kick effect on/off on the fly.
Axe-fx mode is not very conducive to this end. But I would still like to use the tuner.
