If you find a cab you like at home and for recording use, do you find you need to change it for live use?
Do you simply change the IR from Modern to Vintage?
Do you just re-tweak your amp and hi/lo cut to compensate?
Do you start from scratch?
Also, I have been using the live-vintage H and M RI cabs from the new axe fx producer pack. I have been using the live-vintage cabs because I assume that they are a little less harsh in the high end and a bit less boomy in the bottom. This is just a bias I have. Rational? Perhaps not...anyway... I have limited time to experiment before my next show and would like to know if sticking a Scott Peterson mix, or a live modern cab in the cab block would work well live, or if these cabs are being used primarily for recording purposes. I wish to avoid ice picky shrill high end at stage volumes(small bar).
