@Admin M@ That old shortcut for flattening the amp block output EQ by pressing enter is still on page 98. Instead of updating the manual, you should totally just add that function back to the front panel of the unit!
Would you consider putting in some words that splitting duplicates/copies a signal while merging adds/sums signals which is different than a wire (or analog) path in which splitting divides the signal?
For example, below this diagram:
* How cables work in the Axe is slightly different from analog cables:
Each cable splitting point replicates the signal along each cable, which is different than physical/analog cables.
For example, in the SPLIT scenario above, the signal out of the first block is replicated (at unity gain) into each of the 6 blocks to the right, rather than being divided resulting in 1/6 volume along each cable.
Each cable merging point sums the signal into that block, which is the same as physical/analog cables.
For example, in the MERGE scenario above, the 6 signals are summed into the merging block.
Splitting and merging signal paths can result in a louder signal.
For example, combining SPLIT and MERGE scenarios above would result in a 6 times larger signal, which is different than physical cables in which the final signal would be the same.
