Was on 5.08, upgraded to 6.0 -> FAIL, reverted to 5.08 -> FAIL, reverted/upgraded to 5.09, happy dance.Cool you got up & running again. Just curious if you went from 5.08 to 6.0b or 5.09b to 6.0b?

I was wondering if maybe the problem is going from 5.08 to 6.0b. I went from 5.09b to 6.0b with no issue. I guess if you're brave you could try going to 6.0b now that you are on 5.09b.Was on 5.08, upgraded to 6.0 -> FAIL, reverted to 5.08 -> FAIL, reverted/upgraded to 5.09, happy dance.

Always do a full back up! Easy to do & can save you big time.I think you may be onto something. DEFINITELY doing a full back-up first.
Why would ya want pancakes & a sandwich?See there’s a new fiemware
Start the full backup into a nicely titled folder you can find later
Make some coffee/pancakes/sandwich
Backup is done, install the FW.
Put your III on an empty preset and it’ll be fine before you can even get the beans ground.See there’s a new fiemware

The magic is the waffle that goes between the two slices of pancake. Why would ya want pancakes & a sandwich?
You waffle real good sir.A waffle/pancake/sandwich maker is not a bad analogy for a lot of what happens here.
User A - "Woah this thing can make waffles, pancakes and sandwiches - I'm going to get one"
User A - buys machine
User A - "The waffle pancake sandwich I made is really bad, hence this machine is bad"
Forum (usually @chris )- "Try starting with just a waffle, it should taste like a waffle."
User A - "Yeah but it said....ohhhhhh!"
Anyway, time to go back up my waffles.
Is this some hidden arcane secret? You're saying that a full backup is faster if you have an empty preset loaded when you start?Put your III on an empty preset and it’ll be fine before you can even get the beans ground.
But it sounds like crépe!A waffle/pancake/sandwich maker is not a bad analogy for a lot of what happens here.

Has anyone tried the labelling out?Additionally, the view's "Per-Preset" and "Global" tabs allow label editing for controls already assigned to the "Perfrom-PP" and "Perform-Gbl" tabs.
