Putting it on the "Shred" mode really opens it up for me. I think I like the yellow channel more than the Red.
Ya I am digging the yellow w shred on presence shifted its cutting and clear with low mids thickness at the same time
Red is my lead
Now all we have to do is get Cliff one of your Revvs
If anyone can actually create (and share!) a similar sound that's playing during the first seconds of this video that would be really great:
And if you don't want to share for free, go ahead and drop me a PM.
Really enjoying yellow mode. I went ahead and shot a JP inspired IR using my Mesa 212 with V30's, an SM7 and a 121 if anyone wants to try it.
I noticed that too, while updating my presets ! https://forum.fractalaudio.com/threads/fremen-axe-fx-iii-amp-packs.144150/page-4#post-1773290I found that the amps have a lot more individual character since the last couple of updates
How different is the JP2C Sim to the regular IIC+ amps? Just a different flavour?
I'm still on the II at the moment but with some of the latest updates I've really started considering the upgrade. The JP2C just might clinch it...
It's very....hairy....much like petrucci himself now that I think about it
It has a lot of cojones.....not like the other Mesas, but definitely of the same lineage
Very 'big' and 'open' sounding, yet tight and chunky....it's like.....picture a harley coming down the street.....before you even see it, you know what it is and what it looks like.....this is a big muscle bound harley amp

Right now, I’m running the red ch wet to the CLRs, and the yellow dry to the Matrix and 4x12, and I do believe I could probably level some small buildings with it!

it has not made exactly clear by Cliff what model this really is, very possibly a non-JP signature, but a personal IIC+ of JP...would love to see a pic.....!
NOTE: To emulate the “Shred” mode turn the High Treble control to approximately 3-4 dB (or adjust to taste, you are not limited by a single switch).
...BUT, aren't channels 2 and 3 in the JP model identical to each other?
More and more I'm starting to suspect that "Cliff" is actually a brilliantly-written piece of AI code
Can't complain about amp in the room when the room is gone...Put and end to the 'amp in the room' crap and level the room with it!!! PLEASE!!!
