Axe-Fx III Firmware Release Version 12.12

1). Input 1 Gain is not modifiable, so yeah... maybe put in a Wish List item. ;)

2). Yes.

Since output 1 is modifiable, there is no need for another modifier on the incoming signal level.
Use input gain, when you want to set level for a different guitar by turning knobs on the hardware, use output level when you need to control it from your footboard.

Since output 1 is modifiable...
I'm thinking you mean Output Level of Input 1, right?

Close, but not the same. Ideally, you'd want the changing level to also affect the built-in noise gate, but Output Level takes effect after the gate.

Close, but not the same. Ideally, you'd want the changing level to also affect the built-in noise gate, but Output Level takes effect after the gate.

There is no save correlation between signal level and noise level. A stronger signal level can come from stronger magnets, more windings/closer windings, less distance between pickup and strings besides other things.

A higher number of windings also means more hum as a rule of thumb.
A stronger magnet would boost the wanted signal more than the hum, so that's reducing hum in relation to the signal.
The difference between pickup and strings has almost no influence on hum, but changes the signal level and sound a lot.

There is also a global parameter for the noise gate, so you can set it independently from the signal.

There is no...correlation between signal level and noise level.
There often is. For two similar pickups with different output levels, the higher-output pickup will often have a higher EMI content, which is what you'd use the noise gate for.

So,....
Added Input 1 Gain parameter to Setup->I/O->Input menu. This allows trimming the Input 1 gain to adjust for variations in guitar output level without having to adjust each preset.

...this is just a manual adjustment.

YES,
Enable the button's PUSH function to switch between a number of pre-set values.
Makes switching faster and easier, during a gig.

I NEED THIS!!!!!!!

Ax-Fx_III_Factory_Banks_v12p09

There is an error loading factory presets.
Not large!
But very annoying!
Tools - Manage Presets
I use Auto-Audio mode.
He jumps to the cabinet at a lot of presets.
In other words! Quit Tools - Manage Presets / Auto-Audioton "!
I can start loading factory presets from scratch.
My question?
What should I do so that I don't quit using "Tools - Manage Presets / Auto-Audioton.

I enclose the pictures to make it understandable because I don’t speak English.

Thanks!

Are you saying that , when you’re in Manage Presets, it sometimes jumps to Manage Cabs? If so, what are you doing at the moment it goes to Manage Cabs?

In each case, I click on the preset and it loads.
I always do this.
But in many cases he switched to the Cabinet.
So I always treat it the same way.

I'm not able to make this happen. Note that the picture you posted here is showing preset, not cabs.

- How frequently does this happen? 10% of the time? 50% of the time? Or...?

- What version of Axe-Edit are you running? And what firmware version?

Also, the next time this happens, please provide a screen capture showing both panes of Manage Presets.

Something happened?!
I do not understand?
The point is, it's good now.
Yet he has done it many times so far.
Also with the previous firmware.
It was at least 10%.

Now he has done loading problems in a lot of cases.
There are 17 cases.
FAS Lead 1 I turned off the device at this preset.
Should I send the picture of the 17 cases?

Corroborating witness here.

I have seen AxeEdit do this in the past, but not lately. The Preset Manager will suddenly malfunction, and be replaced by Cab Manager. On occasion it would happen in the middle of a multiple preset operation and mangle a preset or two in the process. Thank goodness I have OCD-level preset backup habits....

Any correlation to anything, or did it just happen at random?

Seemingly random. It's been a few firmwares ago, but a multiple preset operation (moving, copying, adding from the sidebar, etc.) made it more likely to happen, likely through repeatedly 'rolling the dice'.

Are you saying that the problem doesn’t happen anymore?
In the morning, I just loaded it as an experiment.
But I didn't do anything else.
When I searched for the sounds again, he suddenly started doing the, Cab Manager.
He then changed Cabinet Manager many times.
I even finished playing the guitar then.163 preset FAS Lead 1

Can you export the preset that has had "good luck" triggering the problem? Maybe it has a glitch in it that is triggering this, and it can help figure out how to fix this problem.
