Axe FX II XL+ into power amp+cab

Hello !

I've had the Axe FX II XL+ now for two weeks and I'm thinking of getting a power amp + cab. Now I'd like to know what power amp and cab you're using to get some ideas. I've heard good things about the Matrix but I have absolutely no idea what cab could be a good sounding option. I play mostly hard rock/metal but sometimes also clean/crunchy stuff with either a PRS Custom 24 or Fender Strat.

I have a matrix 800 and an Avatar 2x12 cab with Celestion G12H75 speakers. I also sometimes run into the effects return of a Line6 Flextone3. Both sound really good.

I never used the matrix power amp but it sounds nice. If u use the matrix you can utilize the power amp emulation... if you go tube, I like the the fryette 50/2/50 with class A A/B operation

Matrix GT1000FX into a Mesa 4x12. Done.

I use a Fryette Power Station with a Mojo Select 2x12 cab loaded with Scumback M75's. Sounds great, the Fryette adds a bit of tube warmth and sponginess but each amp type in the Axe retains it's unique character. It's plenty loud for every gig too.
