Axe-Fx II used for FX only in Studio

Hi All,

I'm looking to use the AXE FX II in my studio for FX only. My signal chain would be as such
gtr->amp->mic->mic_pre->axe->interface. Should I be using input2/output2 only for this ?
Also should my grid look like:

input->return>[some FX blocks]->FXL->Send ?

Use Input 2, and whatever output you like.

Input -> FX -> Output

Rear input 1 can be used. This avoids needing the FX Loop block in every preset.

Yes, the rear input 1, though watch out for clipping as it has no noise reduction or limiting (secret sauce).

My bad Bakerman, I was thinking the rear input is input 2 LOL...DOH!
