Axe-FX II Pro Tools Help

Hey guys,

I posted this in the lounge yesterday but figured this would be a better home for the question, so sorry for the double post if anyone saw the other thread. So I recently made the switch from Reaper to Pro Tools 10 and I seem to have something configured incorrectly. Whenever I arm a guitar track and start jamming through my Axe-FX II, I get this delayed playback that comes through my speakers almost like a delay, and it's annoying as hell. Never experienced this with Reaper, any tips on getting rid of it?

P.S. Sorry if this is a silly question, I'm pretty new to DAW's.

Go to the playback engine settings and set it at its lowest option 128. It under the tools tab I believe.

Options--> Low Latency Monitoring. Make sure that option is checked and you should be good. Also make sure the armed tracks that you are recording are muted.

If you are not using the AxeFx for playback, then only output 1 L/R supports low latency monitoring.

For tracking:

Setup -> Playback Engine -> H/W Buffer Size 128 (1024 for mixing)
Options -> Low Latency Monitoring (should be checked to be on)

If you are not overdubbing you can change the track to be input only monitoring. That way you only hear the source not the track playback too:

Track -> Input Only Monitoring (note this will change to "Auto Input Monitoring" when you set it. If you click "Auto Input Monitoring" the menu changes back to allow the "Input Only Monitoring" setting again)
