Axe Fx II + MFC mk1 buying advice

Hi,

I have an axe fx II (not XL) and have being using the behringer FCB 1010 with the Eureka prom mod.

I'm considering buying an MFC-101 as I'd like

  • tuner
  • flashing tap tempo light
  • scenes with stomp box mode
  • easier preset access e.g. up and down via one press

There's a mark 1 on ebay. Other than having to run a midi cable and power to the MFC, are there any other limitations I should be aware of give my axe fx version and the mark 1 MFC? Can I power and run this using just an ethernet cable from the axe fx?

MFC mark 1 has limitations on which of the three rows of buttons you can use for scene changes. However there’s an easy solution. Each row of buttons is on a separate circuit board. You can open the case up and swap the boards around.
