That is typical of a single-ended, class A amp. So yes, a treble booster or the Blues Driver.

Of course, we can do all sorts of tweaking with the Axe, thankfully.

I'm trying to dial in the Champ to be as close to my Emery Sound Superbaby as possible. I can get pretty close. Next step is purchasing IR packs.

I like to use an Ayan Enterprises Smooth 'n' Slim into the Superbaby. The Retrosonic Boost pedal was great too (similar to a Blues Driver).

Thanks. So did people use it with a treble booster back then? It's pretty dark at default, even with my strat.

I spent days writing a single-ended power amp model and then realized that I could simply use my push-pull model and turn off one of the tubes.

That's what Kevin O'C does with his amps, on a pot.

Might be a cool mod to the patch...dial in PP vs SE...I liked KOC's studio amp run in-betweeny this way.
