Two months ago I bought Axe Fx II without knowing about new software. I was struggling wether to spend almost twice as much fot FX III or to buy FX II with MFC 101. Now, when I found out about ARES 2.0 release I'm shure FX II was a good decission for now.
By the way, amazing attitude thorwards users of older equipment from Cliff and his company, thx a lot
And the one most of us easily forget - new strings!!Trying out new guitars breathes new life into old firmware. Money and a III just around the corner.
Sadness. (sadly). I understand that the power of the Ax-Fx III processor is not comparable to the Ax-Fx II But I still "hope" that the rules serve to break them by exceptions. For example, to convert an improvement in the new Ax-Fx III firmware into Ax -Fx II, at least partially.Yes, you can hope, but no, it will not happen. The Axe-Fx II is EOL (end-of-life = legacy = discontinued) when it comes to firmware updates.
