No matter how many updates, it matters the quality of each of them. This team has shown supreme quality in all of them.

It's not the number of updates or whether they are free or not, so much as the fact that the AxeFX continues to be updated after being discontinued. Maybe I'm wrong on this as I'm pretty new to the world of high end modeling and effects, but my understanding from reading through forums of the various manufacturers, is that this kind of support is pretty rare outside of FAS.
