Axe-Fx GEQ and PEQ question

Personally I use the GEQ before the amp block to shape the gain structure better or even "change the tone of the pickup".
And also inside/after the amp block for general tone shaping.

Most of the time I use the PEQ to take out ringing frequencies with a narrow Q.
 
I use the PEQ post everything for a Lead Boost. Any way to dampen it so when I engage it it doesn't go IN YOUR FACE LOUD immeditally? Wanted to give it a 1/2 sec lag swell. Thanks!
