AXE Fx ->Axe edit -> interface -> No DAW

Hey guys! So ive been curious and havent been able to find a simple answer to the question of.. Can i run axe fx with no DAW and still get the sounds im trying to recreate with just using an interface and axe edit? im sure its an easy answer but i cant quite figure out how to set it up. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
 
the sound comes from the Axe-Fx. i don't understand the question. what does the DAW have to do with anything?
 
im trying to figure out how to use the sound from the axe fx without having to use a DAW. Like an audio track, and engaging the record button. its simple but i cant figure out how to route it
 
Connect the Axe-fx directly to your speakers.

Or your interface should allow you to monitor if it is connected to your speakers.

Maybe tell us what gear you have and we can help.

theres no other way around that thru the interface and midi? setting up the ports in the preferences of axe edit?

Im using a tascam US 144 MkII to KRK Rokit 5's

Midi is not audio. Axe edit has nothing to do with hearing the guitar.

Just set your "mon mix" dial on the Tascam fully left to "Input."
