for those of you that don't know, Cruise to the Edge is a prog rock festival on a cruise ship..
basically over 2,000 fans and 30 bands [including Yes, Steve Hackett, Rudess, Neil Morse Band, Spock Beard, Pendragon, Focus etc etc] on a 5 day festival / cruise in the Gulf of Mexico..
so...
got lots of tone compliments from fans, tech's and other musicians..
and got many "holy fk how does your rig do that?" with my tone morphing stuff
another cool thing was..
no issues with switching from Europe to US power..
Axe does it automatically, the Matrix just needs you to pop the lid and flip a switch..
easy..
and better..
I took a tiny [0.3kg] 2 stereo channel mixer
Axe into one channel, iPhone into the other [containing the set lists in iTunes]
so I could practice on the cans in my cabin just like playing live [with all my control surfaces] and without any restrictions..
I was therefore able to practice the sets several times a day [including gig days] and so stay 'match fit'..
awesome experience..
