Hi guys,
I thought it would be fun to make a new video series for my Sonic Drive Studio's YouTube channel in which we compare Axe FX amp models of similar voicing.
Now, these comparisons aren't meant to be very scientific but they'll give you a good idea of the similarities and differences between the amp models.
In this case I tweaked them to sound pretty darn close but there is still a difference obviously.
Later videos will also feature amp models that have a more varied sound, the FAS modern amps come to mind.
In this video we compare the MKIIC+, MKIIC++ and MKIV amps in a heavy setting.
This is because those amps are generally known from the heavier genres.
We compare the amps twice (once in the beginning and once more at the end of the video), both solo'ed and in the mix.
I also briefly show the presets and all the settings including the Ownhammer IR's used.
I hope you enjoy this first episode and I'd love to hear what amp is your favorite!
