Axe FX 2 Active Monitors Question

Hi All! I am new to the Forum and just placed my order for a new Axe FX 2. I will be using it for home jamming and recording on Pro Tools 10. I have decided to go with active studio monitors rather than my Marshall cabs. I am on a budget for monitors after the Axe FX purchase and don't have a lot of green to put down on monitors at this point. So for entry level I am considering Yamaha HS50M's and KRK Rokit 6's. Does anyone have any experience with these? Or suggestions? I know there are better choices out there, but again I invested the majority of my budget in the Axe FX so for now I have to hold it down on monitors. Thanks for your help!

Hi and welcome to the forum.
There's a lot of info around about studio monitors. There's a section for the that. Amps and Cabs. Do a little search.

I personally prefer the Yamahas. Find them flatter. (tried both).
Try and find a nice 2nd hand deal. You could probably score a pair of used HS80m in that price range.
