axe edit keeps timing out and/or not connecting

I am running the latest Axe firmware as well as the latest axe edit and have noticed that It is consistently either not connecting… Showing "unknown device"… Or once connected, times out

I have fully uninstalled axe edit and have reinstalled it but doesn't seem to resolve the problem.

Is anyone else experiencing something similar?

Yep I am getting this same error, never happened before but now it just won't connect to axe edit. I have the latest version.
 
Go to settings in axe edit.
Preferences then change the ports to:

Axe FX2 midi in
Axe FX2 midi out.

This worked for me.
 
It's not the usb cable I've tried a couple also it's stopped working again. Never had this problem before with axe edit.
 
Might not be. Problem suddenly occurred for me, too. I tried all kinds of different USB down to 1' none work. Cable above solved my problem.
