Current Axe-Fx III Firmware Version: 20.04

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
  • Mac version requires OS version 10.7 or newer
  • Windows version requires Windows 7 or newer
  • Minimum firmware version 3.02

NEW IN THIS VERSION

* Support for firmware 21.00 beta 4
o Updated AMP block Dumble-type layouts with "Overdrive Volume" control.
o Added "Plate Suppressor Diode" control to the AMP block's "Pwr Tubes + CF" page.
o Updated the controls AMP block's "Ideal" page.

* Modified the parameter control's SHIFT right-click menu in the effect-editor to show the "Set In Multiple Presets" menu option when the selected effect has only one channel.

* Corrected Per-Preset FM9 to Axe-Fx III translation.

* Moved the LOOPER block's "Speed" control to the Looper page.

PLEASE NOTE: Starting with firmware 20.00, Axe-Edit III 1.12.00 (or greater) is required to communicate with the Axe-Fx III. Previous versions of Axe-Edit III (versions 1.11.01 or less) will not work with firmware 20.00 or greater. Axe-Edit III 1.12.00 (or greater) will work with previous firmware version 3.02 and greater.

Thanks for the update.....

One curiosity with the new "Overdrive Volume" parameter:

On an ODS-100 Ford for example I see it in both Authentic and Ideal tabs and it works in both.

...then on a Band Commander I see it in only the Ideal Tab not in Authentic, and it does nothing. Checked on the AXEIII and indeed this parameter does not exist. Looks like random insertion of this parameter on Ideal tab.

Have not found any others yet but might be worth rechecking.

Anyone able to confirm this?

Is this the approved final editor for new 21 release?

UPDATE: I dont think it is, because it still doesn’t have the “authentic” controls for the new Herbert model.
