Axe Edit all of a sudden will not connect

Can someone help me figure this out? All of a sudden when I try to use Axe Edit on my computer I get a "disconnected" as status in the upper left hand corner. I've checked the USB connection from the Axe FX to the computer and it seems to be OK. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.

After messing around with different approaches, I turned the computer off for a while turned it back on, now it works. Tried this several time prior with no help. What can I say? Just glad it is working again.
 
I´m experiencing the same problem. Last night I updated to 18.12 and worked just fine, now it just doesn´t connect.

Update: I uploaded the Firmware again and after selecting the appropriate ports in Axe edit (I also did this before and didn´t work) it works again.

how do you reinstall the usb driver. I installed axe edit on a laptop running win 7 and it wont connect but I don't know how to reinstall the usb driver to chek to see if that works.
