Closed Axe-Edit 3: Shift-Click to Select Multiple Blocks to Move at Once

It would be great if there was a Shift+click functionality in Axe-Edit to move multiple blocks at once.

There are times where you want to insert one block in the middle of a bunch of blocks.

Having the ability to click at the beginning of the blocks you want to move in a row and shift click at the end of the blocks you want to move in order to drag them around would be a huge time saver.

It would be great to be able to use shift click to select a long row of shunts to delete them quickly too.

you can drag a shunt into the middle of a bunch of blocks and they'll make space. use the handles at the bottom of the grid.

you can also drag whole rows up and down by using the handles on the side

The real problem here is the idea that you must move blocks around to make room for a new block you want to insert. The more natural way to do this would be to simply drag or insert the new block where you want it. See this mock-up video:
