Axe as an interface

I'm sure this has been asked before but is it possible to use the axe as an interface to monitor sounds from your computer and play along without having the audio from the computer be affected by the axe's preset? If so how is this accomplished?

That's the default configuration. You don't need to do anything.

Just select the AxeII as the computer's audio output and the computer audio should appear unprocessed at Out1 (assuming default configuration). If you run your guitar through the guitar input, that will go through the Axe processing at the same time.
