AX8 vs Helix

Here is a little comparison of these two units in a modern metal context. Both units have the latest firmwares in. I used Fas Modern with OH Mesa IR from the Heavy Hitters Collection on the AX8 clip and Fatality with 3Sigma Zilla IR on the Helix clip.

All the guitar parts have been recorded with the mentioned units.

Both sound good. No vs here.

Would have liked to hear both clips with the same IR (I prefer the OH over the sigmas every time.)

They both sound good. I think the Helix sounds a bit flubby and the Axe a bit thin. I would like to hear them both more up front in the mix as well. All personal preference though. Nice job.

This, no point in an apples/oranges comparison imo. But then again like Chris said it's whatever works for you in the end
