AX8 V6.01 Public Beta

Just in time for the long weekend (here in the U.S.), AX8 V6.01 Public Beta is now available for immediate download. Some bug fixes from the development of V6.00, and a small amp model adjustment. Please be aware that this is BETA software, and as such, may contain bugs or other unintended consequences. As will all firmware upgrades, we strongly advise you to back up your AX8 with Fractal-Bot before proceeding with the install.

Also, please read through the release notes carefully before you install.

Release Notes:

AX8 V6.01 Public Beta implements Quantum V6.01 changes and some minor display bug fixes developed as a result of the initial V6.00 development.

Fixes:

• Tap Tempo is now functional when LARGE PRESET DISPLAY is set to ALWAYS
• TEMPO, TUNER, and PRESET screens now enter and exit correctly when LARGE PRESET DISPLAY is set to ALWAYS
• When executing BANK UP/DN in STICKY PRESET, the selected bank now appears in a dialog displayed over the LARGE NAME. NOTE: When first executed the PRESET names are still displayed in a list until a preset is activated. The display then returns to the LARGE NAME.
• Adjusted Power Amp Offset on a few models.

Why do people keep comparing it back to the Axe Fx?
They are different products and logically won't follow exactly the same FW release pattern.

Incremental releases will be necessary to address bugs in each respective product, hence why a .01 release came out to mainly address AX8 specific bugs.

Quantum 6.01 hasn't been released for the Axe II yet. Firmware is developed on the II then ported to the 8, especially the amp modeling with other additions coming from the ax8 team.

but assumed it was a typo. And also not a big deal.
