AX8 & S/PDIF

Hi everyone, after digging around I did find some topics related to the AX8 connecting via S/PDIF to interfaces but nothing helpful so far. I recently bought the AX8 and run it via S/PDIF into an Eleven Rack. If I run AX8 -> 11R -> Logic I need to have the assigned track for the AX8 selected in order to get sound (this doesn't happen with just the 11R where I can have any track selected and I'm always able to hear myself play), if I try to run just AX8 -> 11R I also get no sound at all. Any ideas of what might be going on??

You can always hear the 11R because your speakers are in it's main outs. Your ax8 only uses it as an interface, so you need different settings to monitor it.
There probably are some settings in the 11R where you can choose different monitoring options.
