Do you see any dirt or residue of any kind on the buttons where they slide into the switch?
Are you having trouble with multiple foot switches?
Did something get spilled on it?
I'd suggest contacting Fractal Support before doing anything. They do frequent the forum but don't always see everything so direct contact would be the best option for their advice. Is this a plastic safe formula? I actually had two ideas...first plastic safe contact cleaner and two a light shot of WD-40 with the unit turned upside down to prevent any from dropping on the boards inside. Any thoughts on these solutions?
Two switches are having this issue on opposite sides of the board and nothing has been spilled on the unit. There is no no noticeable dirt on the switches but they are both really hard to press.

I wouldn't use WD-40. It's not really a lubricant, WD stands for Water Displacement, so it basically repels water.
Instead, I would recommend WD-40 brand {or any other brand), Silicone spray instead. Do as you said, hold the unit upside down then let the silicone dry/cure before you plug the unit back in. It will leave a fine layer of silicone on the shaft of the switch and it won't stick anymore.

I use it on the plastic tracks of my double-hung windows...works great. I even used it on my Panasonic microwave oven. The door switch was sticking so the oven wouldn't turn on because it thought the door was open.

Do the switch buttons rotate easily? In each of the up / down positions?
Can you see any evidence of scoring on the switch shaft?
Update...
I took our church's AX8 home to do the most recent update.
I carefully looked at the foot switch buttons.
What I found is if I slightly side loaded buttons 2 or 3, they would stick.
If I pressed straight down, there was no sticking.
Also, all other foot switches work just fine.
Maybe there is a tolerance factor in some of these buttons?
