So... You don't have a problem but you're complaining about problems you don't have and have not experienced?
You aren't "stuck" except by your own limitations. Perhaps try the latest version and see if you actually experience the problems?
If you do, it is easy enough to go back, as I'm sure you already know. Also, you can then potentially provide the information to resolve said issue.
If you don't, then hurray!
