AX8 Edit

I posted this in the patches forum, but I think this will get more visibility here.

I am trying to grab some one's preset but they have their IR/CAB come in on the Scratch Pad. I try to save it to another location with little success and even if I save the preset, it becomes silent as they Scratch Pad IR is replaced with "none" and the signal does not continue through. This happens every time I shut off the unit. Is there a way I can store this in a non-volatile memory location?

If you load a preset with its own CAB IR it is stored in the AX8 scratch pad by default when you initially load the preset. When you go to save the preset the cab IR is allowed to be saved as part of the AX8 Edit save process. You would select a user location for the cab and once saved it would always be available to the preset.

Thanks PRS Guy, I will take a look at the thread, It wasn't intuitive at first. I couldn't see a place to save for a user location

So I took his cab "taylorXXXXX" from the Scratchpad1 slot and renamed it to "Acoustic" and picked U001 as the location. I saw it save there, but when I turned the unit on the U001 location was labeled as empty.

That's what it looks like Yek was talking about doing.
