AX8 crashed

Hi AX8ers

Startup displays UTILITY screen on FACTORY page with UPDATE MICRO and UPDATE BOOTLOGGER options.

Buttons and switches don't work. Just stuck on this screen.

Only odd thing leading up to it was that I couldn't write any backups.

So a bank of presets I edited for a show didn't get backed up. Good thing the show was OK but on the very next startup I ran into this trouble.

Found a thread with general crash advice saying:

hold down SHIFT and power the unit on. Hold the button for about 1 second beyond the power up, then release. The unit will now allow you to install firmware using Fractal-Bot

So I'm wondering if I do that will I lose my presents?

Anyone got any experience or advice getting through this situation please?

Contact Fractal Support. They will have the best answers and any possible suggestions as to how to attempt to recover or save your presets as well as help you troubleshoot the AX8.

UTILITY: RESET PAGE
The RESET page provides a tool to set GLOBAL, I/O, and TUNER back to factory default values. RESET SYSTEM PARAMETERS is one of the first steps of troubleshooting. It never deletes or modifies your presets.
